Sociobioeconomy of the State of Pará
Sociobioeconomy Center of the State of Pará
Development, strategic implementation plan with case studies, participatory local consultations, and strategy design for the sociobioeconomy of the Lower Tocantins, Lower Amazon, and Xingu regions.
Territorial management and assessment.
Implemented in conjunction with the State Bioeconomy Plan through a consortium formed by Trama, Mangará, and the Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development (FBDS), with sponsorship from UKPACT.

Bioregio
Bioeconomy and Value Chain Strategy
Action and investment plans for associations and cooperatives with innovation training initiatives aimed at producers and community organizations. Hybrid financing mechanisms for low-emission family farming, adapted to the semi-arid region.
Project implemented within the framework of the National Strategy for Bioeconomy and Sustainable Regional Development (BioRegio), established by Ordinance No. 3,717 of November 30, 2023, an initiative of the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development.

Planning and execution of diagnoses
Pueblos Indígenas, Afro-descendants and Traditional Communities and their relationships with Amazonian Bioeconomy value chains in Brazil. Selection and analysis of priority value chains, mapping of key actors in key territories, and assessment of local gaps and opportunities for Indigenous communities.

ABOUT US

Mangará was founded on the conviction that businesses and organizations need to accelerate the transitions necessary to combat the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, and social injustice. Since 2022, it has collaborated on projects with nonprofits, governments, the private sector, and community-based businesses under the leadership of its founding partner.
Luciana Villa Nova
Founding partner, specialist in Amazonian bioeconomy, with around 30 years of professional experience at the intersection between innovation, sustainability and development of value chains based on Brazilian biodiversity. He worked for more than 25 years at Natura, leading initiatives such as the Natura Amazonia Program. Since 2022, she has worked as an Executive Consultant, leader of the company Mangará Innovación y Sostenibilidad, leading several projects, including the design of the Strategic and Governance Plan of the Amazonia+21 Institute (CNI); Strategic Plan of the Sociobioeconomy Center of Pará, with a direct focus on COP30, in the context of the State Bioeconomy Plan.
Responsible for implementing the BioRegio Strategy (Bioeconomy Plan for Regional Development of the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development - MIDR), aimed at the territorial development of the bioeconomy on a national scale. He was leader of the Bioeconomy Task Force of the Brazil Climate, Forests and Agriculture Coalition (CBCFA), coordinating studies on productive poles. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Scientific Panel for the Amazon/UN where she works with a series of scientists and experts from all Amazonian countries and is co-founder of the Saberes Sociobio platform, focused on innovation and traditional knowledge. He acts as Scientific Advisor for Mahta.bio, innovating in the use of Amazonian ingredients in new foods.
